Brisbane Fashion Society Rooftop Runway.

Held on the top of the Limes Hotel in Fortitude Valley, there is nothing like admiring an alternative array of fashionistas to get your blood running and the type of event where I felt like the Queensland fashion elite were in attendance. Street style with emphasis on dresses & funky boots as well as skirt & top combinations, were all but acceptable on a humid Thursday night in Brisvegas.

I have to admit, this was the first time in ages I’d seen styled outfits that were tasteful and not representing casual beach wear or what looks like street worker trash. (sorry Gold Coast, I do love you but tasteful fashion does not come to mind when I think of you!)

Featuring the exclusive launch of Debut & sister labels Rachel Rachel & Bling & Chic, the rooftop was overflowing with Chicness.

The pair showcased feminine silhouettes made with luxurious fabrics.  Flowing dresses were mixed with revealing hip bandeau’s which brought a touch of funk to a feminine design. An AMAZING colour palette was used in the way of neutrals & whites with a hint of metallic bling, and this came through in the accessories donned as well.    Detachable dresses, glistening skirts & feathered jewellery all meshed to create what was a stylish launch of a label.
