There are models and then there are models that make their way to “superstardom”; their faces and style forever remembered and revered.
From Jean Shrimpton, one of the world’s first supermodels and Y’ves Saint Laurent’s dream girl Iman, to Kate Moss, whose style according to Isabel Marant, transcends through the years, and of course, Cara Delevinge, who needs no introduction as one of the industries most influential and ‘invited”.
The “It Girls”. The beautiful, the stylish, the inspiring, the mysterious. We are captivated, (and at the same time secretly wish we could bump them off the style throne and take their place) yet despite our obsession , the reign over the Fashion Kingdom must come to an end as fresh new fashion faces emerge and the new “It” girls rise.
So who are some of these new girls on the rise, turning the heads of casting directors, and bringing the vision of designers to life on the runway?
Lets start with “Royalty”. Her official title, Lady Jean Cambell. Jean Campbell, a mere babe at just 16, Scottish born and the daughter of an Earl. With her first campaign at Burberry and photographed by none less than the likes of David Sims and Bruce Weber, Jean was one of our favourite faces during SS15 fashion week as she walked for Louis Vuitton. One of the top new comers, Lady Jean’s look has been described as ethereal and she is definitely one to watch and at just 16, she has many a fashion mile to walk ahead of her.
Vanessa Moody; Was simply EVERYWHERE during SS15. and when you open Alexander Wang during your first season, it’s no surprise; Valentino, Sonia Rykiel, Chanel, Giambattista Valli, Isabel Marant, Balmain and Balenciaga; This beauty has a face to remember, with her brooding looks, and perfect pout.
Having been compared to the likes of Supermodels Daria Werbowy and Gisele Bundchen, at just 17, Julia Bergshoeff’s future is bright. Appearing in Proenza Schouler‘s AW14 Campaign and debuting for Louis Vuitton, SS15 witnessed this Dutchess walking for Alexander Wang, Marc by Marc Jacobs; Donna Karen, Rag and Bone and closing for Proenza Schouler. Julia is definitely someone’s favourite.
Alexandra Elizabeth. Those eyes! Her debut with Proenza Schouler SS14, and walking for DVF, Altuzarra, Victoria Beckham, Tommy Hilfiger and Marc by Marc Jacobs for SS15 fashion week, Alexandra is living up to the name sake of her agency during the SS15 shows and is taking the fashion world by “Storm”
The new “It” Girl. Whose fashion spell will you fall under? xo
