Bold colour, dresses that go swish and those that make you want to twirl; the simplicity of whites and pieces that feel like they were made just for you, this is the feeling of a Sacha Drake Summer.
When I was asked if I would do a personal blog featuring some of Sacha Drake’s pieces from the latest Spring/Summer collection, I immediately rounded up the girls who make magic happen, (thank you Quince and Mulberry Studios and Alannah Pritchard Make up) and had some serious fun.
The beauty of Sacha Drake is that as a designer she is obsessed with getting it right for all women, with no hint of compromise when it comes to style and quality, and for her loyal customers, the only difficulty is in the choosing.
Who can resist the colours of the Up Up and Away Maxi Dress? Makes me want to run away with a one way ticket to paradise!
Is it the fit that is irresistible? Not on it’s own. But combine that with Summer’s navy and white palette in the most covetable midi skirt length? Resisting the Garden Row Midi Skirt is futile.
Summer isn’t Summer without crisp fresh whites and the Chalk Portrait Top and Skirt is style in it’s purist form; whether you pair it with Summer’s sandals, or give it an unexpected edge and take a sneakers with everything approach, this is the ultimate modern “set”.
And then theres that runway skirt! Sorry girls, a very special piece designed just for the runway to celebrate 10 years with Brisbane’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival earlier this year. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if the most satisfying moment was the agreement for me to wear it as part of the shoot or the fact that it fit me!
