Alice McCall today presented her SS13/14 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in Sydney. Oversized shapes emerged from the under-the-sea inspired collection with gorgeous structured shoulders and modern shapes reminiscent of shelled under water creatures. Shades of cream, gold and navy walked the Alice McCall runway as did variations of grey and light peach. Exposed midriffs and sheer garments were presented in a way that only Alice McCall could manage, with a contrast between light and dark and positive and negative spaces. Splashes of metallic silver and vibrant digital prints emerged as key spring/summer trends for the label with exaggerated silhouettes and frilled hemlines. Models wore chunky wedges in gold and silver with splices of snakeskin and turquoise eyelashes.
