March, a month that signifies spring is just around the corner! Time leaps an hour ahead, days are a smidge longer, and if you live in So Cal (southern California) it’s the beginning of tanning season. For my fellow fashion junkies, it’s also a time to start introducing the world to your overpriced, but deemed necessary, new wardrobe pieces.
Shopping for this season’s hottest must haves can be a bit overwhelming. I’ve adopted the systematic method of “cycle shopping”, which helps to keep your wardrobe balanced and shopping more enjoyable. Cycle shopping is simply the purchasing of accessories, shirts, pants, and shoes consistently in that same order.
THE ACCESSORY: Nick Fouquet
When it comes to accessories remember two things, one you should wear the accessory not the other way around and two keep the feel effortless. Nick Fouquet designs the perfect hats from more conservative to very fashion forward. Hats are definitely worth springing for the higher quality, an investment piece.
THE SHIRT: Gucci
Floral prints have become a staple on the runway for men season after season. Gucci has way of the using the most luxe of fabrics while still maintaining a causal feel. This is also the last collection from Frida Giannini, who served as creative director for just over 8 years.
THE PANTS: Citizens Of Humanity
When it comes to denim I’m very much a loyalist! Fit and quality, are the most important things to consider when scoping out jean brands. COH is one of the most consistent brands to date. Not only know for their great denim, their chinos are just coveted.
THE SHOE: Saint Laurent
When it comes to boots no brand does rocker better than Saint Laurent. Boots no longer have to be left in the winter when they come cropped and in rich suede coloring. Now you are fully equipped to spring into action and begin to knockout that wardrobe update!
